The gravel drive crunched under the tires of Omar’s rented SUV as he pulled up to the remote farm stay just as the last orange streaks of sunset bled into deep indigo. The place was pure isolation—weathered cedar siding, a wide wraparound porch strung with soft Edison bulbs, and beyond it nothing but rolling pasture and a thick line of pines. Silas climbed out first, lean frame unfolding from the passenger seat, dark curls still damp from the long drive, the flirty little half-smile he always wore already tugging at his mouth.
“Fuck me, this is farther out than they promised,” Silas said, stretching until the hem of his tight black tee rode up and showed a strip of flat stomach. “No neighbors for miles. Perfect for a double date that just went completely to shit.”
Omar shut the driver’s door and rolled his shoulders, the heavy muscle of his chest and arms flexing under a faded henley. At twenty-eight he was solid, confident, the kind of man who filled a doorway without trying. He grabbed both duffels with one hand. “Boyfriends cancel last-minute and leave us holding the reservation. Classic. At least the hot tub’s still ours.”
They had planned the weekend for months: two city friends and their respective partners escaping for long dinners, shared bottles, and whatever private fun four gay men could invent under the same roof. Then the texts rolled in—Omar’s boyfriend suddenly “needed space,” Silas’s claiming a work emergency. Now it was just the two of them, years of carefully ignored heat suddenly given room to breathe.
Inside, the main cabin smelled of old wood and lavender sachets. One big bedroom loft, a second smaller room they wouldn’t need, a kitchen already stocked with the wine and steaks they’d ordered ahead. Silas dropped his bag and immediately crossed to the wide glass doors that opened onto the back deck. Outside, the steaming hot tub sat under an open sky already pricked with early stars, water mist rising into the cool mountain air.
“Jesus,” Silas murmured. “That’s going to feel filthy good after that drive.”
Omar came up behind him, close enough that Silas could feel the heat rolling off his bigger body. “You always did like being watched while you got wet.”
Silas turned, green eyes bright with something sharper than amusement. “And you’ve always watched. Don’t pretend you haven’t.”
For a second neither spoke. The admission hung there, raw and electric. Then Omar’s mouth curved. “I’ve wanted to do a lot more than watch, Silas. You know that.”
Silas’s pulse kicked hard against his throat. “Yeah. I know. I’ve jerked off to the idea of your hands on me since we were twenty-two and you first spotted me at that rooftop bar. Every time we hung out with the boyfriends I kept thinking how easy it would be to drag you into a bathroom and finally find out if you fuck as hard as you look like you do.”
